1. Fleas have several different life stages. Fleas are insects that go through complete metamorphosis. Just like butterflies and moths, fleas have 4 stages of life: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. Each stage looks totally different than the others and has different habits.

Q. I found a bunch of bugs under my kitchen sink. You can barely see them but they jump! I don’t think they’re fleas because they’re light-colored and our dog doesn’t seem to have any fleas. He gets treated regularly. I sprayed the bugs about a week ago, but they’re still there. What do you think they could be and how do I get rid of them?
VIEW MOREQ. We have had an ongoing problem for years with those big, shiny green blow flies periodically showing up in our house, usually in the fall. I know they can be associated with dead animals but we haven’t had any of those that I know of. Where else can they be coming from?
